A farmhouse silhouette with nothing of a farmhouse inside.
The house
From the lane it is a plain gabled form, the same silhouette as every agricultural building for four miles. Turn the corner and the entire east flank is glass from ridge to ground.
The planning officer described it as the least contentious modern house she had ever approved, which Miyara took as the compliment it was.
