The Boat Shed
A working shed on the quay, converted without pretending otherwise.
The house
Tarrant left the shed a shed. The rails are still in the floor, the doors still open the full width to the water, and the new work is all clearly new — steel, glass and one insulated timber box holding the bedrooms.
It is the least precious building on our books and the one people ask about most.
