Ines Halvorsen
Ines practised as an architect for eleven years before deciding she was better at finding buildings than drawing them. She founded Alvara with Tobias in 2016 after the pair watched a Meis house sold as a “development opportunity”.
She chairs the architecture panel and has personally turned away more instructions than anyone else in the practice.
